Like all Luminoth vessels, the Serenade's main reactor is referred to as the Light of the Serenade, and is a source of power great enough to power New York for an indefinite period of time. All the ships systems are fed by this reactor, as it produces pure Energy that is converted to other energies as needed, from Kinetic Energy for the Orb Cannons, Engines, and Maneuvering Propulsors, to Plasma for the Projectors, to Electricity for the vessel's other systems. The Luminoth will not reveal how their ship's Light is constructed, but they will sometimes build smaller versions of it for allies.

Fascinating design. I have always been curious as to what Luminoth ships look like considering that their species were nomads for so many years. Nice to finally see a concept for one.
